It is normal to feel pain for 2-3 days after the procedure. That is due to the healing process. From 4-5 days, the pain should subside. Contact the dental practice if the pain does not subside or increase. Additional wound cleansing may be required. ## How to relieve the pain of wisdom teeth? Unless not advised to do so: - Consider painkillers (analgesics) such as Dafalgan (maximum 4g per day for an adult). - Combine painkillers with anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen (for a maximum of 3-4 days in adults) - Use an antibacterial mouthwash (Chlorhexidine 0.2%) 24 hours after extraction for 1 week - - Take your prescribed antibiotic therapy (if applicable) ## When is it possible to keep your wisdom teeth?
