Replacement of fillings

If you don’t mind the gray appearance on your white teeth, it’s a good idea to
to keep old fillings (amalgams) that are
in an excellent condition. Otherwise, their replacement
through modern aesthetics is also possible, even strongly
recommended when they are in poor condition.

Replacement of fillings

Doubt settles in

These fillings were used in the past for their great resistance
to chewing, but no one knew in what sort of way they
would behave in time. Some dental amalgams are composed of 52% mercury (the
the rest being silver, tin, zinc, and copper).

In light of the studies on the dangers of mercury, many
countries have banned the use of dental amalgam for the last
several years. In the same way, mercury thermometers
are no longer manufactured. In the same direction:

…while all these substances have been used extensively
for years with no apparent problems. It is only after
decades of use that some products can be
harmful to health. There are no studies that prove that they are harmful to dental amalgams, but there are also no studies that prove that they are not. We are in a grey area, which is partly due to a sampling problem. Indeed, it is very difficult to conduct a large-scale study, especially since the symptoms can vary
and intersect with other sources of intoxication or diseases
among many others.

Are fillings bad for our health?

Replacement of fillings

Teeth break down over time

What is well documented, however, is that after a
number of years, the amalgam has tendency to increase in
volume. This expansion, which is often greater than what the tissues
can tolerate can lead to a dental fracture.
When the fracture involves the roots, the tooth is unfortunately
lost.
Removal of old amalgams, at least those in poor condition,
is therefore a guarantee of safeguarding the good health of your teeth and
possibly your overall health. It is an act of prevention
in the same way that a vaccine protects against disease.

Considering the doubt concerning their harmlessness,
removing amalgamation should be done with all possible precautions. At
PanaDent, you can be sure that the ingestion of
metal particles during their removal is reduced to its minimum
(specific drills and suction cannulas).

In addition, you have the choice to take advantage of new technology
(widely used in Germany) for the quantification and monitoring of
levels of heavy metals in your tissues and organs. The examination is
totally painless and does not require the taking of blood if there is
a correlation between your fillings and various overloads
of metals such as mercury. If that is the case, we offer you our
own detoxification protocol during depositions that can be
combined with nutritional recommendations based on products
(zeolite, chlorella, activated charcoal, etc.) to rid the body of
metal overloads.
